Mulkey Cemetery
Saline Township
Section 26, Township 42 North, Range 15 West
Miller County, MO.
This is a single stone, which is on private property. From Eldon you go north toward Jefferson City. Before you get to the access road, which lets you onto the divided highway, you will see a small lane to the left, which is the next drive past Miller Road and north side of U S. Hwy 54. Go down this lane until you come to the long machine shed. The stone did stand in the middle of a pasture lying approximately 45 yards west of and between the long machine shed and the old shed just north of it. At one time there was noted evidence of other burials by broken stones.
I talked to the owner and he told me that the stone was down and that approximately 10 years ago, being around 1992, some of the family members came down and when they saw the stone was down they took it with them. Although the stone is gone Mr. John Mulkey and others are still buried on this property.
This cemetery is no longer in use.
